ST. VINCENT stamps:
(PML.31) 1888 "1d REVENUE" on QV 1d red (SG.48b), manuscript dated "2/9/90" probably from the higher setting (see illustrated multiple PML handbook Page 152).
An excellent stamp for a first-time plating study based on the plating study of the QV 1d red as published in the RPS Journal "The London Philatelist", this stamp shows prominent dot in "N" of "VINCENT".

NEW SOUTH WALES postal history
1876 cover to New Haven, Connecticut, USA with QV 6d pale lilac pmk'd Sydney B/JA 14 76 with handstruck red circled "PAID ALL" (with fleurons applied Sydney) showing San Francisco FEB 14 transit, no arrival backstamp.
The Postal Convention of FE 1 1874 between USA and NSW established the use of PAID ALL handstamps at Sydney on mail to San Francisco. Queensland and Victoria did the same when their conventions became effective in 1876 and 1879. Their use continued until the Colonies joined the UPU in 1891.

1878 double rate cover to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA with QV 1/- black pmk'd Sydney C/FE 28 1878 with handstruck oval purple "PAID ALL" showing red San Francisco MAR 28 transit, b/stamped APR 4 arrival.

THE ONLY RECORDED WRECK COVER ORIGINATING FROM CANADA marked "Via United States" with Small Queen 2c green x 2, QV 6c brown x 2 pmk'd HALIFAX N.S. A/AP 22 75 duplex to The Manager, The Imperial Bank, Lothbury, London taken from the wrecked S.S. Schiller on the Retarrier Ledges, Scilly Isles to London where red London Paid 10 MY 75 cds applied, reverse with handwritten contemporary endorsement of "This Envelope was down in the Sr. Ship Schiller wrecked on a rock off the Scilly Isles in the month of May 1875".
Accompanied by a wonderfully easy to read pre-owned copy of "The Victorian Titanic".
