An absolute gem in my books Ex BESSEMER, JAFFE, and DUGGLEBY. This provisional was placed on sale on MR 18 1885 and was used on local mail with the "K" datestamp for eleven days MR 18 to MR 28 1885 with first dated "K" on newly arrived QV 1d red (SG.48) known pmk'd "K" AP 2 1885. Overseas mail being cancelled with the vertical "A10" making this an in-period commercial cover. £950 |
