ST. VINCENT ILLUSTRATED COVERS PERIOD 1861 (June 8) to 1872 (November 27). Price £120

SIAM (THAILAND) to DJIBOUTI
Sensational destination, and you know how incredibly rare early REGISTERED post cards are! Written in French by A. Bradae (acute accent over e) DE 1 1901 with return address c/o Siam Canals & Irrigation Company, Bangkok to Pierre Faivre, Djibouti with boxed "R", Bangkok transit (top left), Singapore, Aden (DE 30 01), Sea Post oval appended "1789". The rate should have been 4att (postage) and 10att (registration) but someone took a great liking to the missing 10att for its splendid postmark, and there would have a greater incentive if the Thai stamp added LAOS or CAMBODIA (and later a substituted 1 att put in its a place). The clues of origin are the 8 rayed star within the fleuron on the 4att whose ink matches the town/village boxed key-shaped local registration handstamp - has anyone ever seen this EXACT FORMAT rare mark before? What a wonderful 4-countries item, and what a wonderful mystery to be solved.

ST.LUCIA - ILLUSTRATED PRE-STAMP AND GB used PERIOD 1779-1860. Price £24
(WIP-202) I wonder what the financial outlay would be to own all the stamp catalogues ever produced, and how many years it would take to harness all the illustrated pre-stamp and QV covers, plus the dated information (of non-illustrated items) in the most famous of the early named Sales. Even on the easiest flowing days harnessing 50 scans is tough going and exhausting (50 x 365 = 18,250) and my current scan total is 92,922. St. Lucia pre-stamp shows how the island was very much influenced by the French and unlike other British Islands entires are found from Martinique travelling through Castries to FRENCH PORTS. Also there are those travelling through from Antigua and Tortola. Handstamps employed are the ST. LUCIA fleuron, the double arc, and the PAID AT ST. LUCIA, not forgetting the elusive SOUFRIERE dbl-arc. The scarcity turns to great rarity with very few GB used in going to Barbados, Bordeaux, and London. Many of the 81 illustrated items are part or full in b/w, arranged in chronological sequence with provenance attributed when known. This digital pdf can be yours for £24 arriving in minutes once ordered (no trade or collector discounts). Payable by PayPal or UK bank transfer (note Barclays Bank account is closed). Successful buyers can request two free updates as and when required

GREAT BRITAIN used GRENADA covers, 92 mainly illustrated items (1858-1860). Price £36
(WIP-114) You can now order and pay for your own DIGITAL copy by pdf (no refunds). Can arrive in your desktop, tablet, laptop in seconds with no hold up at customs for import duty. This file most suitable to take to auctions, stamp fairs, philatelic gatherings, or just to show other interested collectors, and essential to the newcomer thinking of making a display. 92 covers, a study mostly in b/w, which makes its own statement due the lack of excitement attached to the many GB 6d packet rate covers to the UK (often enormously overestimated by auction houses, dealers alike). A one frame would easily embrace the 6d single, 1/- double, 2/- quadruple rates to UK, offers two very rare REGISTERED covers to the UK, and most unusually has GB stamps affixed at Grenada's Carriacou island taken up the Grenadines chain for posting with St. Vincent Kingston "A10". . Provenance added when known. 27 pages (A4 size) Price £36 payable by PayPal or UK bank transfer.
