Neckles, Grenville" to London with wrongly rated QV 2d ultramarine and wrongly dated initialled manuscript "7th January 1883" instead of the expected Parish "D" cds overstruck Head Office applied A/GRENADA/JA 07 84 cds confirmed by JA 29 1884 arrival, alongside "T" tax handstamp, blue crayon "2" and "1d" with bold circled 3d due handstamp applied on landing at Plymouth.

1848 part wrapper docketted along top "Trinidad 4 Dec 1848" to William McGregor Grant, Arnos Vale, St. Vincent rated unpaid "4" showing GRENADA DE 16 1848 transit dbl-arc and ST. VINCENT DE 21 1848 arrival dbl-arc.
Prestamp mail between Trinidad and St. Vincent rarely found. The flat ground at Arnos Vale became the site of the national airport and terminal as illustrated on the St. Vincent 1965 3c definitive (SG.233). For many years a bamboo pole was used to close both sides of the main coast road when flights were in progress.

Only two covers with 2nd Parish Type INVERTED "B" are currently recorded, the other dated DE 12 95

1884 cover to Thomas Duncan, London with QV d dull green pair, QV 4d greyish slate (SG.30,33) pmk'd First Type Parish "D" dated MAY 8 84, reverse hooded red London B/MY 28 84/AD arrival, some smaller faults.
The extra 1d being a special inland surcharge which Grenada imposed from January 1st 1881 to September 1885 in violation of UPU rules. Only 6 covers with this 5d rate are currently recorded, this being the only one with pair d adhesives for the extra 1d surcharge
