SEYCHELLES to BRITISH HONDURAS then via JAMAICA to GRENADA
1897 use of 30c PSE pmk'd Seychelles A/FE 20 97 to His Excellency Sir Alfred Moloney, Belize, British Honduras showing BELIZE C/AP 5 97 arrival, re-directed Grenada in blue crayon with superb 2-line JAMAICA/TRANSIT b/stamped KINGSTON 3E/AP 23 97 transit d/ring alongside ST. GEORGE'S C/MY 4 97 arrival cds. Some soiling but a remarkable Four Countries destination showpiece.
Sir Cornelius Alfred Moloney KCMG (1848-1913) was a British colonial administrator. He served as British Administrator of The Gambia from 1884 to 1886, Governor of Lagos Colony from 1886 to 1890, Governor of British Honduras from 1891 to 1897, Governor of the Federal Colony of the Windward Islands from 1897 to 1900, and Governor of Trinidad and Tobago from November 1900 to 1904. It was during his term as governor of Trinidad and Tobago that the 1903 Water Riots took place. The riot resulted in the destruction of the Red House, the seat of government.

complete outer wrapper with blue/white CURTIS'S & HARVEY buckled label affixed lower flap (as seal) with damaged GB QV 1/- Plate 4 pmk'd London MY 16 67 with Belize JY 6 67 (51 days transit) showing red crayon "1(d)" due to the Colony on the 1/- per half ounce rate, unusually with black handstruck "2" applied London, assumed to be 1d Late Fee plus 1d Fine to be collected from recipient.

1842 entire headed "Belize Honduras 13 April 1842" carried privately to Havana where identified with red 2-line ISLAS DE/BARLOVENTO (Windward Islands) and marked by forwarding agent in Havana as received AP 19 and sent AP 23, red handstruck "5R" charge mark.
