a reconstruction using the QV 1/- orange (SG.58,58a) showing the full framed 4-line "RECEIVED GOVT. OFFICE ST. VINCENT JAN 13 1900" (two dates 13 and 18). Ex DUGGLEBY
Remaining stocks of the old QV stamps were withdrawn from sale on 31 December 1899. It seems they were sent to the Treasury for cancellation. Most were subsequently destroyed.

1948 OHMS reg. cover with purple "Colonial Postmaster" handstamp to London, Ontario, Canada with KG6 2½d, 3½d, 6d pmk'd Kingstown */21 MY 48 with red ink endorsement "Official pay 2d shortage in Registration Fee" (with postmaster's initials) and ST. VINCENT/*/OFFICIAL PAID handstamp applied, b/stamped Trinidad, New York, Toronto, London arrival.

REDIRECTED, St. Vincent postmark/cancel
(PML.99) straight line instructional mark on 1883 QV 2½d on 1d lake (SG.40), almost certainly unique on this stamp.
Proofed at the GPO London in December 1866. PML handbook Page 129 records no known use, this being the only example seen by me.
