1925 reg. cover with full letter from W.A. Husbands on Victory Philatelic Society letterhead paper to Queenstown, Cape Province, South Africa with KGV 1c x 2, 2c x 2, 2c War Tax, 5c lightly pmk'd Registration */14 JY 25 cds, reverse with BRITISH EMPIRE EXHIBITION label tied QUEENSTOWN R.L.S. 14 AUG 25 d/ring.
The label is perforated both vertical sides and shows broken top to "H" in "BRITISH".

1859 cover with GB QV 1d, 6d pmkd A03 dated DEMERARA A/MR 11 1859 to Dieppe, France showing London AP 5, AMB Calais, Le Havre A Paris, and Paris 6 AVRIL transits. Flap removed by recipient to show his hand-written notes re content.
Only one other GB QV 1d, 6d combination is recorded dated JA 23 1860 ex Paramaribo via Demerara to Dunkerque.

BERBICE, British Guiana postal history
BERBICE./7 DEC 1815 tiny 2-line handstamp (19mm incl. stop x 2mm) across top flap of clean entire from Hope & Experiment plantation to Belfast rated 2/4 changed 2/7 changed 2/11. Possibly the clearest of the three recorded examples. The easy-to-read contents written by John McLennen refer to receipt of stores on board the Ship Margaret Bogle arrived Demerara along with the Paragon, expectancy of a good cotton crop, 60 bales Ginned which will be shipped soon, I planted 10 acres of Plantains, the long dry season has been very much against the cattle throughout the Colony, some Estates have lost 15 of their finest Oxen, back land of this estate full of Bederie bush which is not answer for pasture, loss of lambs the last wet season due bad distemper, there can be no proof against Alfred of being an obia man, I made oath before the Governor about 140 Bales of Cotton shipped on board the Cesar, any damage must have been done after delivery to the Ship, the Negroes are in good health and spirits, which is a pleasure to me.

Thought to be a unique GB used abroad combination (use of 8d rate to France is confirmed by double rate entire (1/4d) from same correspondence bearing GB QV 4d, pair QV 6d dated OC 10 1859.

BRITISH GUIANA postal history
Berbice, 6th July, 1815 str. line handstamp (35 x 2mm high), partly doubly struck which displays on upper flap of entire headed Hope & Experiment to Hugh McCalmont in Belfast rated 2/6 changed 3/3. Only five examples currently recorded. Ex LESLIE RAY. The easy-to-read contents from John Lennan mention the cotton crop, multiplying cattle and sheep due low prices, a recent heavy squall which brought no less than 7000 plantation trees to the ground, the current planting of land for plantains which was under water for 3 years, purchase of some Negroes at Vendue, the Negoes being pretty healthy at present, Jack having died from old age, and the woman Quasheba having died, supposed, from the effects of obia, done by the Negro Alfred, a request for a box of pipes for the Negroes plus better jackets.
The four other examples being dated 22 June 1814 (two separate entires), 11 March 1815, and 13 May 1815
