ST. VINCENT: AN UNPRICED ILLUSTRATED CATALOGUE OF THE GB/40c and ABBREVIATED VILLAGE CANCELS
(WIP-285) this pdf is now available and can be with you in minutes when order placed in "BUY THE BEST" section of shop, payable PayPal or by UK account bank transfers (Barclays Bank account CLOSED). Illustrated are 51 different GB/40c combinations (as used Biabou, Georgetown, and Kingstown) and 277 different Abbreviated village combinations. The £60 price includes two additional free updates as and when required as this is a work-in-progress file, and there will be additions as and when they come along. The St. Vincent abbreviated village cancels are probably the most sought after postmarks in the British West Indies group set against their delightful Perkins Bacon stamp colour backgrounds (no trade or customer discounts).
£60

The VINCENT DUGGLEBY "The G.P.O. Cancellations" mounted on his album pages. Price £15
(WIP-284) being the balance of this collection on 30 album pages (some better pages removed) with 226 illustrated items comprising GB/40c (3 pages), various types "A10" in black or red (7 pages), ST. VINCENT cds (6 pages), Kingstown cds in red ink (2 pages), Kingstown in black ink (7 pages), G.P.O. cds (3 pages), miscellaneous (2 pages) with LATE FEE and a re-construction of the 4-line "RECEIVED/GOVT. OFFICE/ST. VINCENT/JAN 18 1900" as old QV stocks were withdrawn from sale 31 December 1899 and seemingly sent to the Treasury for cancellation and most subsequently destroyed. Price £15 (no trade or collector discounts) payable by PayPal or UK bank transfer (note that Barclays Bank account is closed). A useful record sometimes showing how difficult it is to get a good strike on certain issues. (Note: on Page 2 the first with GB/40c does not have REVERSED CA wmk and is SG.48a and not SG.48, and on the worn GB/40c page the lower right mixed ink is not SG.43 but a re-perforated SG.38 as it has upr. small star wmk!)

ST. VINCENT - TEXT DESCRIPTIONS OF MAINLY 6,810 QV VILLAGE POSTMARKS - PRICE £500
(WIP-100) Did you know that some St. Vincent village postmarks can fetch £500 to £1,000. Probably not. You can now order from "BUY THE BEST" section of my shop your own "work-in-progress" DIGITAL pdf copy (no refunds, but you are entitled two free updates when requested). This file has been assembled over 45 years, and the one or two copies sold will be "out there" for the students of the future to analyse and perhaps solve some of the many secrets St. Vincent holds. There are "unknown periods", and some of my observations may, or may not, still apply. Counting these text descriptions took 4 hours (132 A4 pages long), so no attempt has been made to proof read. The counts for offices are Barrouallie (447), Bequia (272), Biabou (181), Bridgetown (104), Buccament (98), Calliaqua (835), Canouan (102), Chateaubelair (397), Colonarie (473), Cumberland (184), Georgetown (547), Kingstown ("K" and ST. VINCENT cds, 482), Kingstown extended cds (689), Layou (225), Mayreau (54), Mesopotamia (331), Peruvian Vale (65), Rabacca (283), Stubbs (465), Union (276) plus smaller offices, "PP", "PD" handstamps etc. Provenance from main stream auctions is given when known, and descriptions from photocopies from other collections are coded. Gone are the days when the gang of 6 comprising Joe Chin Aleong, Ron Cronin, Vincent Duggleby, Peter Jaffe, and myself (the only survivor) would eagerly and regularly meet at Stephen Sharp's house at Pyrford, Woking, Surrey. This file is invaluable (and as such no trade or collector discounts), and buyers will find endless pleasure. Price £500 payable by WISE bank transfer (Barclays, Santander bank accounts closed), or by PayPal.
