1885 1st printing QV 1d red ovp'd "Revenue" with Crown CA REVERSED wmk (SG.48a, PML.14), fine used showing apparent "c" for "e" but thought to be only a consequence of lighter overprint.

1882-84 QV 1d drab ovp'd "Revenue" (PML.9), fine used manuscript dated "23/4/84" with rarely seen dropped "e".

ST. VINCENT stamps:
1882 DLR QV 1d drab ovp'd "Revenue" with OVERPRINT INVERTED (PML.9), the only example showing clear date of "31/12/83", minor blemish one perf. tip. Only four examples from a single sheet of 60 stamps are currently known to have survived.
The three other examples dated "15/12/83" (faults, Peter Jaffe lot 537), "15/12/83" (fine), and "29/12/83" (illus. PML handbook Page 147).

1885 QV 1d on 2½d on 1d lake (SG.46) good mounted mint with prominent "scratch on Queen's cheek" plate variety (12,060 stamps overprinted on sheets of 60 making only 201 varieties originally available).

KURUNEGALA, Ceylon postmark on forged ST. VINCENT stamp
1899 QV 5/- green & blue (SG.75, Cat.£170 used), a forgery believed to have been cleverly executed by the Belgian forger Dr Julian Smeets by bleaching out the design of used copies of the 1886 Ceylon QV 5c dull purple (SG.195) to a give a "blank" CA wmk P.14 stamp; only immediately given away by the indelible ink KURUNEGALA (Ceylon) and MR 24 95 dated cds which could not be removed.
Few examples show trace of original design in the value tablet.
